parentsMy parents have called each other “bee” for as long as I can remember. I love how this sweet and tender name replaced their real names and that it’s interchangeable–they both go by the name “bee”. When I was little, I remember my Dad placing a little bumble bee on the lapel of my mom’s winter coat. It rested on her shoulder for years–a little piece of my dad & a symbol of their love with her throughout the day. Perhaps that extra bit of love kept her warmer during our cold winter months? It’s a fun thought. Today the bee resides on my mom’s vanity.

My parents have been married since 1965 and have raised five children. They amaze me and inspire me every day. I love them so much. Here they are on their wedding day.
